A TEENAGER who got into a drunken fight said he was celebrating his birthday and his friends were "far too generous" in buying him drink.
Alan Warren (18) apologised for his behaviour, saying it was a one-off as he was celebrating his 18th birthday.
Warren, of Berwick Drive, Swords, who is unemployed, was ordered to make a x350 charity donation. At Swords District Court he admitted public drunkenness and threatening and abusive behaviour in North Street, Swords, on October 8, 2009.
A garda told the court he was on mobile patrol when he came across Warren involved in an altercation with another male.
He was very drunk and shouting abuse.
