Teenager faces drug charges

A TEENAGE boy has been charged with selling herbal cannabis in an area of Dublin known as the cabbage patch.

The 16-year-old has appeared at the Children's Court in connection with an alleged drug seizure worth e300 at New Street, on the city's south side, on February 28.

He is charged with unlawfully possessing the drugs and possession with intent to supply to another. He was remanded until May.

Boy accused of speed chase

A 15-YEAR-OLD suspected joyrider accused of leading gardai on two high-speed chases has been remanded on conditional bail.

He is accused of stealing two cars on January 2 and February 19 and charges of dangerous driving and failing to stop for gardai.

Garda Fiona Ruddy told the Children's Court that on February 19 the boy "took a car from outside a house" and failed to stop for gardai.

A 10-minute pursuit took place which ended when the boy "lost control of the car".

He was remanded on bail until May.
