Teen mugger blames ADHD

A TEENAGER who mugged a woman on a Dublin street has claimed his attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) medication had "hyped up his aggression".

The 17-year-old pleaded guilty at the Dublin Children's Court to robbing the 32-year-old woman of her iPhone, at Arran Quay, in the city centre, on July 2 last year.

Judge Bryan Smyth heard that the boy followed the woman, "grabbed her neck and took her phone". She was left "very shaken up", the judge heard.

He adjourned sentencing the teen, who is on bail, until May to allow time for a pre-sentence probation report.

Rugby star held in sex probe

England rugby player Danny Care has been questioned about an alleged sexual assault on a woman.

The 25-year-old Harlequins and England scrum half was arrested by police officers following an incident in Leeds in the early hours of Sunday, March 4.

Care has already accepted a police caution for being drunk and disorderly on that night after he was arrested for urinating outside a hotel.

He was questioned again earlier this month in connection with a sexual assault on the woman.

The player has now been bailed pending further inquiries.
