A TEENAGER has appeared in court accused of forcing his way into another man's home and threatening him with a knife.
Gerard Conway (18) was allegedly part of a gang of young men armed with knives, wheel braces and baseball bats who forced their way into a house in Tallaght.
The accused, of Bawnlea Avenue, Tallaght, appeared before Tallaght District Court charged with possession of a knife and making threats to another individual, contrary to Section 5 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.
The alleged incident took place at a house at Allenton Drive on July 25 last.
The court heard that a file on the matter is being prepared for the DPP.
Outlining the allegation to the court, Garda Sergeant Carmel Henry said it will be alleged that Conway was part of a group of young men who forced their way into another individual's home.
Judge James McDonnell adjourned the matter for four weeks for DPP's directions on the charges.
