Suspect is charged with attack on the N11

A SOUTH Dublin man is facing trial on charges of seriously assaulting and threatening to kill another man.

Paul Roche (31) is alleged to have attacked and injured the man in an incident last summer.

Roche, with an address at Lakelands Avenue, Kilmacud, is charged with assault causing harm to the man at the N11, Cabinteely on May 26, 2013.

He is further charged with threatening to kill or cause serious harm to the same alleged victim.

The prosecuting garda said the accused made no reply to the charges after caution. The case will be sent for jury trial.

Judge Anthony Halpin at Dun Laoghaire District Court remanded the accused on continuing bail until December 17.
