A YOUNG man allegedly caught with house-breaking implements is facing trial on the charge.
John O'Donovan (20) opted to have the matter tried in the Circuit Court, where the penalties are potentially greater.
The accused, of St Aongus Court in Tallaght, appeared before Tallaght District Court charged with possession of articles for use in a theft.
The alleged incident took place at Ballinascorney Road in Tallaght on September 13.
It is alleged that O'Donovan was caught by gardai with three pairs of gloves, an LED torch and a head lamp.
Judge Anthony Halpin adjourned the matter to a date in December for the service of the book of evidence.
