Student's theft case adjourned for exams

A STUDENT alleged to have robbed two people around the corner from each other on the same day has had the case against him adjourned so he can study for exams.

Tony Marshall (22) is alleged to have taken €25 in cash from a person in Shandon Road, Phibsboro, last May.

He is also accused of stealing a Samsung Galaxy mobile phone, a wallet and bank cards worth a total of €500 from a man in Connaught Street, also Phibsboro.

Blanchardstown District Court was told that the DPP had ordered a trial in the circuit court over the two robbery charges, contrary to the Theft and Fraud Offences Act.

Proceedings were adjourned for five months after a lawyer for Marshall, of Cappagh Road, Finglas, told the court his client had exams to work on.
