Reveller taunted gardai to arrest him

A REVELLER drunkenly taunted gardai to arrest him and bring him to court, saying "they do f*** all to you down there anyway", a court heard.

Lee Burnett (28) also told officers that they could "go and f*** themselves".

Judge John Lindsay ordered Burnett to complete 150 hours' community service.

The defendant, of Ballyogan Court in Carrickmines, admitted before Dun Laoghaire District Court to public drunkenness and threatening and abusive behaviour.

The incident took place outside Winters Bar in Sandyford on March 1.

Garda Sergeant Egan said Burnett was told to leave the area, but took off his jacket and told gardai they could "go and f*** themselves". Burnett also told gardai "bring me to court, they do f*** all to you down there anyway, you pr****".
