Plumber in stab threat

AN OUT-of-work plumber who objected to being searched outside a courthouse threatened to break a garda's nose, a court heard.

Robert Murphy (27) spat at the young officer and told him, "when I see you again I'll stick a knife in your throat". He was given a three-month suspended jail sentence. Murphy, of Swilly Road, Cabra, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to threatening and abusive behaviour and to resisting arrest on May 19.
