Prosecutors have been given more time to prepare their case against a man charged in connection with a €1.4m drugs haul in west Dublin.

James Gannon (31), who is facing cocaine and cannabis dealing charges, had the case against him further adjourned at Blanchardstown District Court.

Mr Gannon, of St Mark's Drive, Clondalkin, is charged with the poss- ession of cocaine for sale or supply at Lidl, Bally- owen Castle, Lucan, last March 22.

Bail

The accused is also charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply at Citywest Storage, Tallaght, on the same date, as well as related charges of simple possession of both drugs.

The case was before the court for the directions of the DPP.

A garda said the directions were not available yet and asked Judge David McHugh for an adjournment.

Judge McHugh put the case back to December 6 and remanded the defendant on continuing bail.

The accused has not yet indicated how he intends to plead to the charges.
