Man put fist through door of surgery

A MAN put his fist through a hospital door after he demanded to be seen but was told he would have to wait.

Clayton McMahon (21) punched the door, smashing a glass panel, in the incident at a doctor's surgery at Dublin's Coombe Hospital.

Judge Cormac Dunne adjourned the case for the production of a pre-sentence medical report.

McMahon, with an address at Clogher Road, Crumlin, pleaded guilty to causing criminal damage at the hospital last September 10.

The court heard McMahon had 59 previous convictions for offences including assault.

"I am considering a custodial sentence, but the medical report might vary the court's thinking," Judge Dunne said.

He adjourned the case to April 29.
