Man bailed on knife charges

A DUBLIN man accused of attacking another man at knife-point has been remanded on continuing bail for the DPP's directions on the charges.

Brian Roban (33) is alleged to have produced a stanley knife during the course of assaulting another individual.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the matter for eight weeks to a date in July for the DPP's directions on the charges.

 

Silver

The accused, of Church Road in Mulhuddart, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with seriously assaulting Mark Downey, contrary to Section 3 of the Non Fatal Offences Against the Person Act, 1997.

The alleged assault took place at Brookhaven Rise in Blanchardstown on February 6 last. Roban is further charged with producing a silver stanley knife during the course of the assault.
