A TEENAGE Shamrock Rovers supporter accused of invading the pitch during a Dublin derby and launching a tirade of verbal abuse at a rival goalie had his case adjourned while the DPP considers bringing fresh charges against him.
Shane Holt (19, below), who has already been accused of a public order offence, is also facing the possibility of an assault charge, after it was alleged that he ran on to the pitch and confronted St Patrick's Athletic goalkeeper Gary Rogers.
Jobless Holt, of Knockmore Park in Tallaght, appeared in Tallaght District Court charged with threatening and abusive behaviour during the match at Tallaght Stadium on March 16 last. Holt's case was before the court for the directions of the DPP and any further charges to be brought.
Sgt Carmel Henry said the directions were not available and sought a remand.
Judge David McHugh adjourned the case to June 16.
