Heroin found on dad in court €17k haul of drugs courier Flat is seized over €31k debt

A "recreational drug user" caught with heroin at Tallaght District Court is to be sentenced at Dublin Circuit Criminal Court next month.

David Evans (23) of Sundale Villas, Tallaght pleaded guilty to possession of 6.407 grams of heroin valued at €1,281 for sale or supply at the court on December 1, 2008.

Detective Garda Jerome Twomey said after a tip-off he searched Evans in the custody area and the drug package dropped to the floor as he removed his shoes.

Judge Joseph Matthews adjourned sentencing until July, remanding father-of-two Evans in custody.
