A GANG of four men are alleged to have smashed four windows in a woman's house and broken the windows of her car, which was parked outside.
One of the gang, Niall Walsh (32), is alleged to have used a baseball bat.
Walsh, of Ballyogan Crescent, Carrickmines, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court on two counts of criminal damage. The alleged incident took place at a house in Carrickmines on February 7.
The court heard that the DPP has directed summary disposal of the matter in the District Court.
The matter was adjourned until March.
Teenager faces car theft trial
A TEENAGER accused of breaking into a house in a southside suburb and stealing a car has been sent forward for trial by judge and jury in the Circuit Court.
Jason Kelly (19) is accused of breaking into a house in Killiney and stealing a vehicle parked outside.
Kelly, of Elm Grove, in Ballybrack, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court charged with burglary at a house at Watson Park, Killiney, and of the unauthorised taking of a vehicle in the incident October 24 last year.
He was remanded on bail.
