Father is accused of having €3k drugs

A FATHER-of-two accused of having more than €3,200 worth of cannabis in his garden shed has been given more time to decide how he intends to plead to a drug dealing charge.

Barry Rooney (31) had the case against him adjourned when he appeared in Blanchardstown District Court charged in connection with the alleged find.

Mr Rooney, with an address at St Ronan's Drive, Clondalkin, is charged with possession of cannabis with intent to sell or supply at his home on July 26 last year.

Judge David McHugh adjourned the case to April 10, for the accused to indicate how he intends to plead to the charge on that date.
