Driver is accused of speeding

A YOUNG motorist was allegedly driving so fast after he failed to stop for gardai that he was bouncing the vehicle over speed ramps, a court heard.

Glen McDaniel (21) is alleged to have been speeding so much that he skidded the car around a corner.

Judge David McHugh ordered the disclosure of any documents relating to the allegations and adjourned it for four weeks to a date in July.

The accused, of Finglas Place in Finglas, appeared before Blanchardstown District Court charged with driving without insurance or a driving licence.

He is also accused of dangerous driving and failing to stop for gardai in the same incident at Tolka Valley Road in Finglas on April 14 last.

The DPP has directed summary disposal of the allegations in the District Court.
