Cocaine addict baker jailed

A BAKERY worker who started taking cocaine to "party" before ending up an addict and a dealer has been jailed for two months.

Wayne Lynch (38) was sentenced at Dublin District Court after he admitted having €595 worth of the drug when stopped and searched by gardai in Francis Street on February 4.

Judge Ann Watkin jailed him for six months, suspending the final four months for two years.

The court heard Lynch, of St Audeon's Terrace, Dublin 8, had recently lost his partner in tragic circumstances.

Defence said the defendant had recently lost his partner in tragic circumstances and at one point was taking the drug on a daily basis.
