Burglary charge for teenager

A TEENAGER has appeared in court charged in relation to a spate of burglaries in south Dublin.

The 16-year-old has been ordered to stay out of the Blackrock, Cabinteely, Dun Laoghaire, Shankill and Dundrum areas for the duration of the case. He must also stay away from his co-accused.

The teenager, from south Dublin, appeared before Dun Laoghaire District Court and is charged with burglary and attempted burglary.


The alleged incidents took place at Wilson Road, Mount Merrion, Woodford, and Brewery Road in Dun Laoghaire on last February 28.

The youth was remanded on bail in his own bond of €200 to appear before the court again in May. As part of his bail conditions, the boy must reside at an agreed location and notify gardai if he moves address.
