Boy on 'vicious attack' charge

A YOUTH has been returned for trial for what was described as a "vicious" gang robbery of a Brazilian national who was attacked in Dublin last year.

The 16-year-old boy has been charged at the Dublin Children's Court with robbing €600 from the man at Herberton Walk, south Dublin, on October 31.

The case will be sent to the Dublin Circuit Criminal Court.

The teen, who is on bail, was accompanied to the Children's Court by his father as he was served with a book of evidence.

Judge Michael Coghlan then made an order sending the boy, who has not yet entered a plea, forward for trial.
