Boy bailed on robbery charge

A 14-year-old boy, who admitted that he "set up" a delivery man by luring him into a robbery and then attacked him with a hurley stick, has been readmitted to bail.

Four weeks ago at the Dublin Children's Court the now 15-year-old boy's bail was revoked and he was remanded to a juvenile detention centre for educational, substance abuse, psychological and psychiatric assessments of him to be carried out.

Yesterday the boy appeared again at the same court where Judge Michael Coghlan was told that the assessments had been completed and there was an application for bail.

Judge Coghlan granted bail and remanded the boy to appear again in August.
