Accused is further held over stolen BMW keys

A MAN charged with handling a stolen BMW's keys has been remanded in custody for a week.

Paul Hogan (35) had the case against him adjourned after he was arrested and charged in south west Dublin.

Hogan, of Donomore Avenue, Tallaght, is said to have handled the keys in Oldcourt, Dublin, on Tuesday.

Gardai said he made no reply after he was charged. They also objected to bail as the DPP's directions were unavailable.

Edel Gilligan, defending at Dublin District Court, consented to her client being remanded in custody to appear before Cloverhill District Court on January 29.

Before the case concluded, Hogan asked the court to refuse jurisdiction, but judge Michael Walsh said he could not do so until the DPP's directions had been issued.
