Council: we shouldn't pay

DUBLIN City Council this week goes to the Supreme Court to try to overturn a High Court order that it is responsible for covering the costs of the temporary accommodation of Priory Hall residents.

It has argued that it is not responsible for the accommodation costs of the residents, and that it is developer Tom McFeely who should have covered those costs.

The council is chasing McFeely even though he is bankrupt.
