A number of incidents, where suspected criminals were pretending to be gardeners in Dundrum and Churchtown, have been reported. In the cases, the men offered their services in a forceful way in an attempt to get money.

Elderly people were approached with the offer to clean out their gardens and driveways by the men operating in a gang of three.

In one incident, on January 24, three men approached residents on the Lower Churchtown Road with the offer of cleaning driveways and were forceful when locals declined their offer.

Separately, there was an attempted burglary in the Barton Road area of Dundrum last weekend and an attempted car theft from Landscape Park.
