THE Irish women's rugby team put in a spectacular world cup bid and thanks to Ireland prop Cian Healy they will celebrate in style at Electric Picnic.
The prop forward donned a blonde wig and gave a hilarious candle-lit 'rendition' of Bonnie Tyler's power ballad Total Eclipse of the Heart - all in an effort to get the girls to the festival.
Accompanied by his pal Sam O'Byrne on the piano Cian gives a convincing lip sync performance of the hit song.
Every now and then Cian likes to take to the decks and is known for his DJing skills but this was a performance in a different league.
In flickering candlelight he mimes along wholeheartedly to the lyrics of the song. He uploaded the video to his social media accounts with the joking comment that his forray into pop was 'one for the ladies'.
Big-hearted Cian's efforts at embarrassing himself on the internet have worked, the entire women's rugby team are set for Stradbally.
The team, captained by Fiona Coughlan, returned from the world cup after a stellar campaign on Tuesday.
A hero's welcome awaited the women at Dublin airport with hundreds of fans turning out to celebrate their return.
But fans of the players wanted to show even more gratitude for their historic campaign and sought help from Cian Healy and his teammates.
An online request for Cian to sort the ladies out with tickets for the event was taken to heart by the Clontarf native.
He was challenged by Electric Ireland to perform a power ballad for the three day festival headlined by diva Bonnie Tyler (left).
He said that he doubted any of the other Irish players would make similar videos but his outstanding performance was enough and the company pledged to send the entire team along.
