Children's fingerprint exhibition off to colourful start

A magical and multicoloured unicorn created from 500 children's fingerprints has been unveiled in The Ark to kick off their summer arts programme, Colour.
The exhibition explores the secrets of colour through interactive workshops and displays.
Children will take a step back in time at The Master's Apprentice workshop, where they will be taught how to make their own paints.
"Kids will grind pigments and mix them with traditional binders like egg yokes, honey or oil," Aideen Lynch, the Visual Arts Co-ordinator, explained.
Rhapsodies in Blue (and pink and yellow) brings music and art together and is hosted by the aptly-named Jane Grooves.
My Name is Gold focuses on the luminous illustrations in the Book of Kells.
The workshops are designed for children age four and up, but also caters for toddlers with special workshops for two to three year olds.
