Chef had €230 worth of ecstasy in club

A TRAINEE chef was caught with €230 worth of ecstasy tablets on him at a Dublin nightclub, a court heard.

Darren McNulty (20) had the case against him adjourned.

McNulty, of Silverstream Close, Stamullen, Co Meath, pleaded guilty to possession of Ecstasy with intent to sell or supply at the Button Factory, Temple Bar on March 7 last.

Sgt Peter Seery told Dublin District Court security detained the accused and called gardai who found 43 tablets on him.

McNulty was on a night out and had bought a tablet from an unknown individual who later gave him a box containing more, his solicitor John Bermingham said.

Judge Michael Walsh adjourned the case to March and said he wanted up-to-date urinalysis results before he finalises it.
