A POLITICAL activist and a German student charged following a demonstration outside the European People's Party conference in Dublin have had their cases struck out.
Shane O'Brien (23) and Jennifer Rieck (23) had both denied public order charges in an incident outside the event at the Convention Centre.
Mr O'Brien of Rathbourne Avenue, Ashtown, Dublin 15 and Ms Rieck, of Leinster Road North, Phibsboro were charged with causing a breach of the peace.
Ms Rieck was also charged with giving gardai a false name and address in the incident at North Wall Quay, Dublin 1 on March 3.
Dublin District Court heard video evidence requested by the defence had not been disclosed.
Judge Michael Coghlan struck the charges out.
