Changes at Aer Arann

REGIONAL airline Aer Arann said it has embarked on a "new beginning" after completing a financial and operational restructuring.

The airline plans to double its passenger numbers to two million by 2018 and become one of Europe's leading regional airlines by 2015.

Aer Arann plans to launch new services to Manchester and Birmingham this summer and would boost frequencies on services to Scotland.

The company emerged from examinership in 2010 in a deal that saw UK logistics group Stobart and other investors provide cash under a rescue plan.
