CEOs offer to help State

PRIVATE sector senior executives are willing to sit on a State board if it aids economic recovery, new research has shown.

The study, conducted by Amarach Research on behalf of MERC Partners, also showed that the majority (86pc) of the respondents are dissatisfied with the level of public sector reform to date.

However, 69pc of respondents believe prospects for the Irish economy are more positive now than they were this time last year.
