IT'S the latest craze sweeping the US and Britain.

Now No Make-Up Selfies have arrived on our shores, with Irish celebs embracing the trend for a good cause.

Glamour girls Leigh Arnold (34), Virginia Macari (38), model Pippa O'Connor (29) and TV3 reporter Leanne Moore (29) have all taken off the slap and snapped the results.

Aimed at raising funds and awareness for the Irish Cancer Society, women post their make-up pics on Facebook and Twitter and then nominate someone else to do the same.

Dublin actress Leigh told the Herald how she was prompted into getting involved after she and some of her close friends were affected by the deadly disease.

"I was nominated by a great friend of mine called Diane who has been personally affected by cancer in her family, as have I," Leigh said.

Xpose reporter Leanne Moore told how she lost her mum, Chris, to breast cancer 21 years ago.

She said: "Unfortunately, cancer is something that most people have experienced either directly or through someone they love.

"I lost my mum to the disease and so it's been a cause close to my heart."

TV star Virginia Macari echoed Leanne's comments after going 'au naturel' for the campaign.

She said: "If posting a sans make-up selfie creates more awareness, then I say keep them coming."
