A wildfire driven by gusting winds swept down a roadway in the Glacier National Park in the US state of Montana, sending visitors packing and residents scrambling to protect their homes and businesses.
A local manger said 688 people were in the campground in the park when the fire ignited on Tuesday afternoon. Nearly all of the campers cleared out by midafternoon Wednesday, and by evening, the fire had burned more than 15 square kilometres.
