Calum lines up Fergie and Becks for film about his dad

BAD boy model Calum Best is hoping to secure a stellar line-up for a new documentary on his father's life.

Alex Ferguson, Elton John and David Beckham are all on his list.

He is hoping that making a documentary about his late father, footballer George Best, will help him gain a greater understanding of his dad.

"I loved my old man to bits but I didn't have a full understanding of his character. So I decided to make a feature documentary," he told the Herald.

"I've watched all the football films over the years but they always seemed to be lacking something. I'm hoping my documentary will be deeper and a lot more meaningful."

Calum (32) has written a format and basic structure for the documentary. During the course of it he will interview celebrities who knew his father or who may be able to shed light on his character.

"I will interview my mum and Sir Alex Ferguson and Elton John and maybe David Beckham – just to get insight into what it's like being one of the world's most famous footballers," he said.

"I want to start filming as soon as possible and hopefully it will come out in 2015. I want to take it on the film festival circuit and also air a version for TV. There will be no actors – just me finding out about my dad."

It's not the first time Calum has made a documentary about his father.

In 2009, he featured in BBC 1 series Brought Up by Booze – where he discussed his father's addiction to alcohol.

But before he starts his documentary, Calum is busy promoting his new clothing line Ibiza Boys Club.

"It launched a few months ago – it's baseball jerseys, baseball caps andT-shirts. It's about that party and good life lifestyle."

"Ibiza has the best party scene known to man. It was only a matter of time before I combined my love of fashion with the infamous White Isle," he said.

On Thursday night he launched the line in Krystle night club.
