Call for fans to 'go green' at the Aviva for vital second leg

GIOVANNI Trapattoni is urging fans to 'go green' and turn the Aviva into an intimidating sea of green when the Estonians come.

The campaign -- organised by the FAI, Three and supporters group You Boys in Green -- want Irish supporters to don their national colours next Tuesday and roar Ireland to success.

"Our fans have stuck with us throughout this campaign, so we hope that they will stand shoulder to shoulder with us as the team line out on November 15," Trap said.

"The atmosphere in Aviva Stadium will be great, but we would like everyone to go green to show their support for the team."

Among those committed to supporting the campaign are pop sensations Jedward, who want fans to dye their hair green.

"We want to encourage all of our fans and everyone in Ireland to go green with pride and paint their faces, spray their hair and wear the jersey to support the team on Friday and Tuesday," they said.
