A CREATIVE project in Cabinteely has just added a striking new feature for visitors to admire in Kilbogget Park.
A giant sculpture of a fish has been installed in the Deansgrange stream in the park for a period of six months.
The sculpture has been created from recycled agricultural machinery belonging to the Parks Department of Dun Laoghaire County Council.
The Fish out of Water sculpture was created by Dun Laoghaire artist Jackie Ball, who was awarded a sculpture residency by the council in 2011.
Newly-elected Cathaoirleach, Cllr Barry Saul, said that the "work is an imaginative response to the brief" to create something that reflected the area's position between the mountains and the sea.
Seeding machines, ploughs and reapers were among just some of the rusted items of machinery transformed into the giant sculpture.
The fish sculpture took the artist, Ms Ball, four years to complete.
