...BUT SPOILSPORT WRECKS IT FOR BLARNEY

FIRST it was St Patrick's Day and now Easter appears to have been cancelled in Blarney.

An egg-hunt planned for the grounds of the famous castle has been called off by its aristocratic owner amid insurance fears.

Sir Charles Colthurst -- who last month banned a St Patrick's Day festival from Blarney village square, which he owns -- is now understood to also be considering banning a vintage car rally in August.

The family owns Blarney Estates which controls Blarney Castle, Blarney village square and substantial lands around the Co Cork town. The Colthursts inherited Blarney through an 18th-century ancestor.
