Woman had €2k of cannabis

A YOUNG woman caught with nearly €2,000 worth of cannabis in her home has been left without a conviction.

Clara Giltrap (22) claimed the incident was "a once off".

Judge David McHugh applied the Probation Act.

The defendant, of Rathvilly Park, Finglas, admitted before Blanchardstown District Court to possession of cannabis as well as having the drug for sale or supply last May 26.

Defence solicitor Kelly Breen said that Giltrap is now seeing a counsellor to help her with an addiction and she is no longer associating with the same peer group.
