Budget call to Osborne

UK CHANCELLOR of the Exchequer George Osborne (right) should use his March 19 budget to raise the level at which businesses pay social security to help boost hiring, a research institute said.

Increasing the threshold for National Insurance Contributions in 2015 to £192 (€230) per week from £157 (€187), the equivalent of £10,000 (€12,000) a year, would save firms £250 (€299) for every employee, the Policy Exchange said.
