Bressie and Roz left shaken as plane gets diverted

LOVE birds Bressie and Roz Purcell had a bumpy end to their romantic break away.

The couple endured a torrid return journey from a two-week festive retreat to Lanzarote when the plane they were travelling in was caught up in last night's stormy weather.

Voice of Ireland star Bressie was left feeling scared when his Aer Lingus fight was diverted to Shannon airport from Cork as heavy winds continued to batter the west and south west of Ireland.

Model Roz was also left less than pleased to arrive in Shannon.

When the pair finally landed in Cork they were greeted by emergency services.

The experience left the singer songwriter feeling very shaken.

"On runway last night in Cork and when we were coming in there were eight ambulances and three fire brigades.

"Won't lie, s**t myself," he told almost 150,000 followers on Twitter.

Bressie and his model girlfriend Roz flew out to Lanzarote before the Christmas break were the lived it up in luxury training resort Club La Santa.

The pair, who confirmed their relationship in the summer, spent the festive period working out and eating well as Bressie prepares for an Ironman triathlon later this year.

The Mullingar stud was counting his blessings following the scary journey home.

"Blessed to have actually got home last night with the weather," he said.
