A 17-YEAR-OLD boy has been sent forward for trial accused of cutting a man with a knife during a spate of gang robberies in Dublin.
Garda Sean Waters told the Children's Court that four youths were involved in six muggings in the north inner city in March last year.
The 17-year-old defendant has been charged with robbery and two counts of attempted robbery in connection with the incidents.
Garda Waters said that during first incident a man had been approached by the group and the boy "threatened him with a knife and demanded his mobile phone which was taken".
In the early hours of the following morning, it was alleged, the boy produced a knife to another man and "demanded money". The victim received a "laceration to his finger severing a tendon".
