Boost for small firms

BANK OF Ireland declared that there are no restraints on lending to viable small businesses across all sectors as it launched its second National Enterprise Week yesterday.

The group said that 83pc of the small business loan applications made within the year were approved which include a total of €2.7bn in new and increased lending facilities with drawdowns of €1.8bn to the end of September 2010. The bank is hosting events around the State for businesses to showcase products.
