Bono SINGS PRAISES OF Irish people

IRISH people were the ones who bailed out broken Ireland – not the Troika, Bono told a packed room of European leaders at a conference in Dublin.

The U2 singer has rejected any suggestion that the country was bailed out by the IMF, EU and ECB and instead has given all the credit to the Irish public.

"I want to give an enormous, enormous shout out. The biggest shout out I have in my heart, to the Irish people for coming through," Bono said.

"The Irish people bailed the Irish people out."
