Bond yields on a high

YIELDS on debt issued by Ireland have risen to their highest level since early February, as global markets react to the prospect of much less intervention from central banks in the future.

The yield demanded by investors on Irish 10-year sovereign bonds rose 18 basis points to 4.26 yesterday morning.

"Recent market moves highlight that Irish yields may rise further," Davy Stockbrokers said.
