Bodies found in burning car

ARIZONA authorities have found a car ablaze with five bodies burned inside.

The location of the smouldering car in the Arizona desert is a known smuggling route.

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu said he is all but certain a violent cartel is responsible.

The area, known as the Vekol Valley, has been the scene of shootouts among smuggling groups fighting over loads of drugs or illegal immigrants, high-speed pursuits and major drug seizures.

Boy charged over assault

A SCHOOLBOY arrested following an attack outside a mosque that left a man critically ill in hospital has been charged with grievous bodily harm.

The 15-year-old, from the Small Heath area of Birmingham, was arrested by detectives on Sunday evening following the attack on the 22-year-old man on Friday.

He is due to appear in court on a date yet to be fixed.

Dog-attack tot has surgery

A TWO-YEAR-OLD boy viciously attacked by a dog has undergone surgery after one of his ears and part of his nose were torn off.

It is believed the boy, named locally as Keiron Guess, also had serious damage to one of his eyes.

The English toddler was found in a neighbour's back garden by his grandfather -- who suffered an injury to his arm while trying to fight off the Staffordshire bull terrier.

Dave Guess (49) had rushed to help his grandson at the terraced house in Swindon, Wiltshire, after he heard screaming.

They have been selected as the country's top womenswear designers for their collection called The Row.
