Blur album set to hit chart top spot

Blur's first album in more than a decade is heading straight for the top of the UK charts and is outselling the rest of the top five put together.

The 12-track album, called The Magic Whip, was announced in February and is inspired by the band's travels in Asia.

Midweek sales figures from the Official Charts Company show the former Britpop band are set to get their sixth number one album this weekend.

They also suggest Carly Rae Jepsen could be set to score her second number 1 with I Really Like You.
