Smithfield is gearing up for the third annual BlueFire Street Fest and organisers are hoping that public donations can help make it happen.
The Street Fest celebrates the variety of different cultures in Dublin.
Scheduled for September 19, there will be street performers, a main stage with performers from around the world, and a variety of workshops, including a language exchange event.
BlueFire have set up a 'fund it' campaign to raise €5,000. Local businesses have agreed to match the amount they raise, euro for euro.
To donate and find out more about the campaign, visit www.bluefiredublin.ie/fundit-campaign.
The 'fund it' campaign will be open for another seven days.
The money will help the festival, which is entirely run by volunteers, stay free for everyone.
This summer the project also hosted free family picnics on the square and they hope to return to this idea next year.
