Blackstone is to buy Microsoft's European headquarters in Dublin for a little over €100m.
The private equity giant - the largest real estate investor in the world - has agreed a deal to buy the Atrium Buildings in Sandyford from a group of private investors led by Pat Gunne.
That consortium is believed to have included businessmen Denis O'Brien (inset), Lar Bradshaw and former Anglo Irish Bank boss Sean FitzPatrick. Ardagh Glass boss Paul Coulson also invested. The property consists of two large office buildings totalling 346,000 sq ft in the south Dublin suburb.
The buildings were developed in 2001. Microsoft is the marquee tenant with about two-thirds of the property. Other tenants include US firm Salesforce.
