THE price of virtual currency Bitcoin surpassed $1,000 (€733) again after games maker Zynga said it would start accepting the virtual currency for some of its online social games.
Bitcoin first crossed the $1,000 threshold in late November and reached a record at $1,238 (€910) on December 4, then plummeted to as low as $640 (€470) after China's largest online market for the virtual currency stopped accepting deposits.
