FORMER banker Sean FitzPatrick's puppet character has been pulled from a new stage musical.
The one-time CEO of the bailed-out bank has been written out of Anglo: The Musical on legal advice.
Mr FitzPatrick is currently facing criminal proceedings for giving unlawful financial assistance in 2008.
His lawyers and the DPP both sought reassurances that the financier would not be named or referred to in the show.
The show's producers were advised by their solicitors that Mr FitzPatrick could not be mentioned.
One of the musical's producers, Darren Smith of Kite Entertainment, said that the move does not mean curtains for the show.
"When you get a letter from the DPP it is rattling," he told the Herald.
"We were always going to get the show legalled, but it just prompted us to do it a bit quicker."
The musical is due to open on Wednesday November 14, with previews on November 13, at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.
