Bank cuts 2,000 jobs

FRENCH banking giant Credit Agricole has revealed a huge worldwide cull of 2,350 jobs.

The company said that it would still post a profit this year although not pay shareholders a dividend. The bank earned €3.3bn in net profit in the first nine months of 2011.

The bank said 2,350 jobs would go, 1,750 from its corporate and investment bank Cacib.
